STORMTECH Donates $500,000 in Apparel to Support Earthquake Victims in Türkiye
In partnership with Reach for Outer Space and Turkish Consulate General in Vancouver
March 13, 2023 (Vancouver, BC) - STORMTECH Performance Apparel has committed to donate $500,000 worth of apparel to support the victims of the recent earthquake in Türkiye. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake caused widespread damage and left thousands homeless.

Pure EarthTM Project
Founded on the belief that when addressing the environment, we are better together, the Pure Earth Project will support sustainably-focused initiatives through the donation of gear, apparel, and funds.
We are proud to announce the Pacific Salmon Foundation as our first Pure Earth Project partner. We partnered on a Giving Tuesday fundraising program that resulted in a 200% increase in donations, 94% of which came from new donors. All donations were matched by STORMTECH and funds raised will support the conservation of wild salmon.

Girls Inc. Westchester is a non-profit organization founded in 2007. They're dedicated to creating girls-only programs that equip young women with essential knowledge and skills. They provide a place for them to feel physically and psychologically safe, and a peer group that helps them feel emotionally supported, confident, and bold.
Wonderfolk
Wonderfold removes barriers to access and help diverse youth find their voice in activism and community engagement. They are a youth-leadership organization that nurtures diverse young leaders through art, community engagement, travel, and nature-based projects to make lasting community impact.
Backpack Buddies
Families across BC living in poverty struggle to keep food on the table over the weekends when school meal programs are closed. For almost 4,000 families, Backpack Buddies provides a weekly bag of food including nine meals and snacks to feed children the weekend and beyond. From seaweed snacks and hummus to sweet peppers and tuna, our bags are loaded with kid-approved food to keep kids growing.
MOSAIC BC
MOSAIC enriches communities through services and advocacy, furthering the success and sense of belonging of newcomers and individuals from diverse backgrounds. MOSAIC serves immigrant, refugee, migrant and mainstream communities throughout the province of BC.
The True North Youth Foundation
The True North Youth Foundation (TNYF) empowers potential in youth by providing meaningful opportunities to belong, learn, and contribute. Its three core programs, the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy (WJHA), Camp Manitou and Project 11 are developed, operated and delivered directly by the foundation and its dedicated team of staff and volunteers. The TNYF delivers consistent and innovative programming, provides tools and resources, and creates a community that supports and encourages youth to achieve their full physical, social, emotional and intellectual potential.
Street2Peak
The Street2Peak Project was born in the Lower East Side of Vancouver, BC in 2013 with the idea of giving disadvantaged youth an opportunity to explore the world. This 10-year project will have cohorts of 15 youth train year-round in preparation for five major international explorations on five different continents.
Take a Hike Foundation
Take a Hike is a full-time alternate education program that engages vulnerable youth ages 15-18 through a combination of academics, therapy, adventure-based learning, and community involvement in British Columbia.
